Martix was established in 2014 in London and moved its headquarters to Athens in 2024. We are  art dealers and curators with a well established international network. We advise on blue chip secondary art acquisitions, as well as investments on emerging artists. Our focus is on Street Artists, Embroidery Art, Contemporary Abstract Minimal Artists and artists who are inspired by Sustainability and their Personal Growth. Martix also curates shows in museums and pop up spaces and runs artists’ residencies.

Martix is managed by art Historian Maria Migadi. Maria holds a two-year diploma in Art History from Christie’s Education in London, a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Art History from UCL and a Master of Arts degree from SOAS (graduated in 2005 with Merit). She has worked as an art advisor in major auction houses and galleries in London, Monaco, and Cannes. Maria is based between Athens and London and consults and curates for major art collections worldwide.

Maria Migadi – Managing director of Martix

Maria holds a two-year diploma in Art History from Christie’s Education in London, a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Art History from UCL and a Master of Arts degree from SOAS (graduated in 2005 with Merit). In 2025 Maria celebrates twenty years as a professional in the art world. Her first position was next to the specialists of Chinese & Japanese Art at Christie’s London in Kings street. She has worked as an art advisor in major auction houses and galleries in London, Monaco, and Cannes. Maria consults and curates for major art collections worldwide, as well as in her homeland Greece. Her love about the arts is not only in the field of fine art but also in poetry, music and literature as well as the art of life. Maria supports several art institutions internationally and has the honour to be in the Contemporary Art Support Committee of the Museum of Cycladic Art.

Eirini Vachlioti – Director of Martix

Eirini is an award-winning filmmaker. She got a degree in Media and Film Studies from the University of Westminster in London. She ran her own editing company, Iris Films, for five years in Soho and for the last twenty years has worked as a director in many award winning documentaries, English and Greek productions. Eirini was born in a family of artists – her aunt an Oscar winner costume designer, her father an intellectual of the theatre and the arts, her uncle the founder of the renounced “Gallerie Kara” in Geneva in the 70s,  known for establishing contemporary Greek artists around the world. The love for the Arts runs in her veins.
